Gemba walk is an industry 4.0. software platform aiming to digitalise reporting in industrial utilities, thus to optimise industrial processes and prevent malfunctions.

Comparing Gemba walk to the conventional paper forms solution reveals that digitalised reporting allows collecting all the neccessary materials at the one place, such as photos, written explanations, location and time of the event. This way appropriate (maintainance) team is notified in the real time and provided with all the neccessary information, therefore they can react immediately and prevent future costs. Additionally, digital form allows long-term sorting of the data collected, which is not possible in the paper forms. Sorting and data analysis lead to roots of the issues, allow reveling the real cause of the issue, thus prevent further repetition of the problem.
